Disney didn’t show a trailer or even a clip to exhibitors at Cinema Con: they debuted the first 17 minutes of the film! We get the introduction of Forky as well as watch Bonnie have her first day of school, but firstly we get an answer to the question many had after watching Toy Story 3: Where did Bo Peep go?

Per SlashFilm, the film starts a flashback nine years ago as Andy’s sister, Molly, gives away the light fixture which Bo Peep is a part of. Andy argues to stop it but is told Peep’s not his. Bo Peep seems at peace with her being sold away, but Woody is far from it. She tries to persuade him to join her, but Woody refuses to leave Andy.

“Kids lose their toys every day. Sometimes they get left in the yard or put in the wrong box.” Bo Peep leaves her lover as Woody stays where he feels safe; they say goodbye for the last time. Shut up; I’m not crying, you’re crying!

Toy Story 4 has a June 21, 2019 release.
