Okay so first things first—as far as heroes go Harry Potter has been known, like many real-life teenagers, to be what professionals call a “real d**k.” The Boy who Lived isn’t above some very human thoughtlessness over the course of the series, and his flaws and attempts to mature and improve are an important part of what make us believe in the character.

But the film’s make a costly error in to having Harry break up with Cho Chang after she’s truth-serum’d into his ratting out the whereabouts of his secret society to the nefarious Dolores Umbridge.

To reiterate, our hero dumps his girlfriend because she was tortured into involuntarily tattling on him, never sparing a thought for what she’s been through or how little power she had to stop Umbridge.

Now that’s undeniably poor form Potter, even for you.
