12 Great Recent Movies You'll Never Be Able To Watch Again

10. Leave No Trace

Leave No Trace
Bleecker Street

Leave No Trace is, unquestionably, a great drama film. A low-key, visually poetic work from director Debra Granik (Winter's Bone), this tells the story of a traumatised veteran (Ben Foster) and his daughter (Thomasin McKenzie) who live in the wilderness and struggle to adjust to everyday society when the authorities find them.

It's a stunning and beautiful work with amazing performances to boot, but it is also an emotionally devastating viewing with an achingly bittersweet conclusion. As such, this is simply too damn sad to watch again.

It's not really a film many would necessarily need to see again either. It will sear itself into your mind after just one viewing anyhow ,and since it's quite a stripped-back film, there wouldn't be all that much to discover in a second viewing.
