There are few things guaranteed in this world but you can definitely count death, taxes and the release of a movie set in The Conjuring universe at least once a year in there.

Considering how well the creepy individual elements of those movies go over with horror fans, it should come as no surprise that they're continuing their approach to expanding the franchise with more spin-offs. And as well as a sequel to The Nun spin-off following the La Llorana spin-off, which was disappointing but still inevitably very lucrative (with a very small budget), Warner Bros are also working on a spin-off for The Crooked Man.

Featured in The Conjuring 2, the creepy boogeyman is coming to the screen again in a script by Mike Van Waes based on a story treatment by James Wan, who will again produce.
