I'm sure we'd all do what Jack Malik does if we woke up one morning to discover a seminal piece of pop culture had been erased, and only we remembered it.

Jack wakes up after an accident and discovers The Beatles as a band never existed, and so he climbs to stardom playing their hits as his own. The tension of the film doesn't rest on whether or not he is exploiting something he didn't create, but more if he will become exposed as a semi-fraud.

Even the characters played by Sarah Lancashire and Justin Edwards are just two other people who remember The Beatles, and are grateful that he has found a way to share their music with the rest of the world.

After Jack makes contact with a still alive John Lennon, he realizes that being truthful is better than living a lie and so he reveals his fraud to the world, quits the music world and lives a happier life with the woman he loves. It's a very uplifting and happy ending that might have been obvious from the start, but still fun nonetheless.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
