12 More Pairs Of Comic Book Movie Characters We'd Love To See Fighting Each Other

3. Magneto Vs Red Skull

Magneto Red Skull First things first - in a straight up fight, Magneto absolutely stomps a hole in Red Skull. The mutant has too many options and far too much power. But a war between the pair with their technology, armies and planning skills would be incredible to see. Magneto suffered at the hands of the Nazis in the second world war and Red Skull is a Nazi himself, so it'd be a real grudge match. The leader of the Brotherhood of Mutants has the ability to manipulate magnetic fields for a series of desired effects. Despite the fact that he is nowhere near as powerful as his comic book counterpart, the self-proclaimed master of magnetism still has near limitless control of all forms of metal €“ including to the extent that he can manipulate the iron inside a person's body, ripping out the iron from a prison guard's blood, killing him. By utilising the metal around him, he can also use his powers to simulate flight, such as when he used the iron from the prison guard's blood to float across a large open area and escape his plastic prison. He also has pretty impressive reaction speed, able to effect a bullet mid-flight after it had been fired out of a gun. His most impressive feat, however, was lifting the entire Golden Gate Bridge (which was also packed full of cars) across the 1.5 mile stretch of water between Alcatraz Island and mainland San Francisco. He also wears a helmet that renders him immune to the telepathic probing of his biggest rival, Charles Xavier. He's something of a glass cannon, given that he is essentially an elderly man in terms of his body, but his offensive capabilities and powers more than make up for that. Red Skull is the first recipient of the same kind of super-soldier serum that was given to Captain America. As a result, he is enhanced to become the pinnacle of human fitness, strength, speed and endurance. He was able to compete with Captain America in physical combat - and we all know how formidable he is - and his strength was enough to punch a fist-shaped hole in Cap's first metal shield (which was far from being vibranium like the shield he would go on to wield, but it's still an impressive feat). He was a fearsome leader and an egocentric genius, but he's never faced anyone like Magneto (who would absolutely HATE him). Winner: In a war between their two respective factions, it'd be a lot more interesting but, in a straight up fight, this is a massacre - Magneto.
