12 Potential Post-Credits Scenes For Avengers: Age Of Ultron

2. Adam Warlock

One of the most important characters in the Infinity War comic arc who has yet to receive any oblique set-up is Adam Warlock, a cosmic being with a backstory as complex as you'd expect from a Marvel hero conceived in the seventies. In the tradition of The Avengers' forward thinking sting, Marvel could conceivably introduce the character at the end of Age Of Ultron ahead of a more substantial role later on (a smart bet would be on Guardians Of The Galaxy 2). There's a lot to play with here; continuing the Infinity Stones bent he could have a run-in with the Soul Gem (although that would probably fit the Guardians sequel better) or even have his first confrontation with Thanos. The main barrier, as with Spider-Man, is that no one's being cast, but as he's such a fantastical character some creative means make it somewhat possible. Of course, this school of thought does ignore there has already been an Adam Warlock cameo snuck in at the end of a movie. Guardians Of The Galaxy's post-credits scene, which ostensibly trolled the fans with a cameo from Howard the Duck, also doubles as a progressions of Warlock's story - his cocoon was glimpsed in Thor: The Dark World's sting (and Guardians itself) and, following the Infinity Stone-aided explosion, he'd hatched. Given how subtle and "only for the die-hards" this has been, it'd be strange for Marvel to suddenly make a big deal of him so ahead of time. Likelihood: 4/10
