12 Potential Post-Credits Scenes For Avengers: Age Of Ultron
10. Ant-Man Lead-In
Although Marvel certainly don't seem that enthused about Ant-Man - Kevin Feige has gone on the record that it's only happening because of the departed Edgar Wright - it's still their second major release of the summer (despite what a pretty bland trailer suggests). Sure, it'll probably wind up being the most inconsequential movie in the franchise since The Incredible Hulk, but they still don't want their first commercial dud. The best way to convince the Marvel fans still unenthused would be an Avengers post-credits scene that served as a proof of concept. A proper showcase of the size-jumping action, or maybe a universe-expanding flashback (Agent Carter and Howard Stark are both set to appear, possibly with a younger Hank Pym), would both fit the bill. Or, as Ant-Man will happen concurrently with Age Of Ultron (a narrative trick employed with The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2 and Thor), there's even the opportunity for some proper non-chronological bending, with Paul Rudd showing as Scott Lang fully formed. There's one big but over this otherwise plausible sting; it's too late. Ant-Man comes out less than three months after Avengers and while back in Phase 1 teasing the next movie was the done thing, by this point it's expected a post-credits scene will be a bit more far-reaching. Likelihood: 1/10
