12 Worst Marketed Movies Of 2018

Lenny Abrahamson's atmospheric slow-burn gothic drama was perhaps the most obscenely mis-marketed film of 2018.

Because Sarah Waters' novel is such a beguiling mish-mash of genres - romance, psychological drama and mystery thriller - the studio clearly didn't have a clue how to market it, and naturally went the most cynical, lazy route possible.

The below trailer splices together sequences to imply a far more horror-centric film than is reality. The Little Stranger certainly has creepy moments, but it's more an exercise in sustained unease than the broader period horror film this trailer suggests.

It predictably bombed at the box office regardless and has already been long-forgotten by mainstream audiences, if they even paid any attention to it in the first place.

Which 2018 movies were done the worst injustice by their marketing? Shout them out in the comments!
