9. The Crow Reborn

Alex Proyas' 1994 cult classic actioner has been primed for the remake/reboot treatment for the better part of a decade, with countless directors flirting with it, while the likes of Bradley Cooper, Ryan Gosling, James McAvoy, Luke Evans and Jack Huston were linked to the title role at various stages.

Jason Momoa was most recently rumoured to star, but with an easily-marketable title and premise that shouldn't be difficult to reboot, the constant stalling suggests that something is fundamentally wrong with the project.

Does the world need a new The Crow movie? Absolutely not, and after a point the studios involved should probably just take the hint. There will be new stars and directors attached over the coming years, but eventually, interest will drop off and it'll quietly evaporate into the cinematic ether.
