13 Awesome Movie Sequel Pitches That Were Stupidly Scrapped

3. The Guys Go To Spring Break - Old School Dos

The Pitch: Nothing clever or fancy here, just the same goofballs from the original cult classic coming back for some spring break shenanigans.

Old School is one of the best comedies of the early 2000s, and honestly even a fairly flimsy excuse for a sequel was enough to guarantee butts in seats. Spring break would've been an effortless way to one-up the original's stakes and do what every good sequel does: expand the scope to epic levels.

What Happened?: Original writer Scot Armstrong turned in a script for the sequel back in 2006, but Will Ferrell and Vince Vaughn both ended up turning it down.

Ferrell said, "We’re just kind of doing the same thing again...Funny things but it’s just us once again back in a fraternity setting. It just felt like it was repeating."

So, how about that Daddy's Home 2, Will? Too good for an Old School sequel? (We're not bitter at all).
