13 Movies From 2015 Already Guaranteed Oscars

1. The Revenant

Nominations: Where to begin? Just line 'em up: Best Picture, Director, Actor (Leonardo DiCaprio), Supporting Actor (Tom Hardy is most likely, but don't totally discount Domhnall Gleeson or Will Poulter), Adapted Screenplay, Cinematography and Film Editing are highly likely, while any of the following could easily sneak in: Production Design, Sound Editing, Sound Mixing, Original Score, Costume Design and Makeup & Hairstyling. Assuming a few of the latter ones miss out, it'll get around 9 nominations. What It Could Win: Iñárritu isn't likely to direct back-to-back Best Picture winners, but of course, never say never. With the film unseen, the likes of Screenplay and below-the-line categories are anyone's guess. What It Will Win: How Many Wins?: Given that the Best Picture/Director awards have tended to split between films recently, Iñárritu will probably steal Best Director away from Danny Boyle, while the film scoops DiCaprio his long-awaited Oscar (and the Internet can finally stop talking about it), and it also grabs Cinematography and Film Editing. 4 wins. Which movies are you rooting for come next Oscar season? Which ones do you think already have an award won? Shout them out in the comments!
