6. Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension

The Movie: The fifth core entry into the immensely successful found footage horror franchise, as series antagonist Katie (Katie Featherston) terrorises yet another family in their home. Why The Fanboys Will Hate It: Because the series has been progressively going further down the toilet ever since the first movie (though the spin-off, The Marked Ones, was surprisingly watchable), and The Ghost Dimension just sounds like more of the same nonsense. Considering that Paramount want to milk a few more movies out of the series before the "endgame", this is probably destined to be another limp exercise in wheel-spinning, doing little to move the series' mythology forward. As for horror fans as a whole, they'll probably hate it too. Will It Succeed Anyway?: These movies are produced so cheaply that they can't not make money, but critics will likely hate it, and with so long having passed since the fourth core movie (just over three years), perhaps audiences will have moved on and lost interest.
