11. Thor: The Dark World Jane Foster In Asgard
I think we can all agree that in the most part Thor was excellent. It achieved what it had to continue the world-building for the Avengers, introduce the more fantastical aspects of the Marvel universe and make an ultra-powerful god-prince a compelling protagonist. Yet one of the aspects in which is failed was in sparking up a convincing romance. Look, I loved Natalie Portman as Jane Foster she was clever, sweet and well-rounded (as a character, you perverts), and the fact that the Marvel Cinematic Universe carries enough clout to attract recent Oscar-winners is great in and of itself, but her romance with the God of Thunder was woefully undercooked. The only reasons we had to invest in them were twofold comic continuity and the fact they were the most attractive people in the cast. For me though, that kiss totally came out of nowhere. So personally, I'm psyched that the new trailers show Jane in Asgard, Bifrost be damned. It'll be nice for them to put some meat on the bones of this romance between two well-developed characters. Also, it'll be cool to see the fish-out-of-water plot of the first film reversed, and if nothing else it means Jane can be an audience cipher for the more out-there parts of the Marvel Universe and Asgard.
