Release Date: January 23rd The Plot: A recently-divorced mother, Claire (Jennifer Lopez), finds herself falling for the dreamy high schooler Noah (Ryan Guzman) who moves in next door. However, it soon enough transpires that everything is not as it seems: Noah's obsessive streak becomes clear, and as Claire tries to distance herself, Noah only becomes more aggressive in his pursuit of her. Why It's Awful: Even if you take the plot on its own dubious merits and don't bother watching the innuendo-laced trailer, this is Sleazy Garbage 101, a trashy reversal of the typical bunny boiler premise that no doubt takes itself dead seriously rather than reveling in its own absurdity. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MgbBwovOOoc As if that wasn't bad enough, Rob Cohen (xXx, Stealth) is directing, so a tone-deaf dud is almost certain.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
