14 Cringe-Worthy Movie Scenes You Never Want To See Again

Come on, you knew it was coming. Anakin (Hayden Christensen) and Padme's (Natalie Portman) romance is an unbearably cringe-worthy farce from beginning to end, and even the creakiest, sappiest dialogue doesn't invite quite as many gritted teeth, upturned lips and facepalms among fans as the infamous sand speech.

During a chit-chat with Padme, Anakin tells her, "I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere. Not like you. You're everything soft...and smooth."

It's surely the most widely-lambasted exchange from any of the divisive Star Wars prequels, and makes most fans lose at least a little of their will to live every time they hear it. Sure, you're probably not watching Attack of the Clones all that much these days, but even if you do sit down for it, you'll need a strong drink in you to stomach this moment.
