14 Simple Fixes That Would Have Made Fantastic Four Awesome
6. Keep The Team Together For The Second Half Of The Movie
It's extremely frustrating that, after the foursome get given their superpowers, they spend so damn long in isolation before teaming up for the final battle against Doom. Reed escapes and goes into hiding for a year, Thing is the government's secret weapon, and only do Sue and Johnny really get any screen time together before the third act (not that it's at all memorable). The movie desperately needs to emphasise a sense of teamwork, and so it'd probably make more sense to have Reed escape with the rest of the team. This could result in another epic action sequence as they use their powers to escape, and perhaps when they realise Doom is causing trouble on Earth, that's when they come back for a few fights with him. Though many didn't think the new F4 could be any worse than the two previous ones, this is yet another aspect that it did much better: there's that feeling of camaraderie between the team that audiences, whereas here it feels like four different origin stories dissected and then slammed together.
