Giancarlo Esposito may not fit comic readers' expectations of Doctor Doom, but it's undeniable that this guy would bring something really special to the screen.
A veteran when it comes to playing terrifying antagonists - be it his role as Gus Fring in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, his more recent turn in The Mandalorian, or his appearance in the short-lived show Revolution - Esposito would be a great fit for the Marvel villain. He's got the presence, the cold, steely voice, and the cold, steely gaze.
Picturing him sat on a throne with, mask on and working away at the team, it's clear he would fill Doom's shoes from the get go. Sinister and icy, his performance would fully embody the complexities and evilness of Marvel's biggest bad guy. As with Blunt, Kraskinski and O'Brien, the fan art online speaks for itself.
