15 Awful Films Terminator Actors Want You To Forget
8. Bloodrayne (2005) - Kristanna Loken
RottenTomatoes Score: 4% The Plot: Based on the semi-popular video game, Bloodrayne follows human-vampire hybrid Rayne (Kristanna Loken), as she attempts to kill her father, Kagan (Ben Kingsley), the Vampire King who conceived her by raping her mother and later killing her. Why It Sucks: It's an Uwe Boll movie ('nuff said), albeit one that didn't just sucker in Loken, but also the likes of Michael Madsen, Michelle Rodriguez, Meat Loaf, Billy Zane and, worst of all, Oscar winner Ben freaking Kingsley. Despite not winning any, Bloodrayne was nominated for six Razzie awards, including Worst Picture, Worst Actress (for Loken), Worst Supporting Actor (Kingsley), Worst Supporting Actress (Rodriguez), Worst Director, and Worst Screenplay. The film plays out like a particularly awful 90s fantasy adventure show, albeit with a slightly more adult plot-line, but not one which is done any justice whatsoever. Some brief Loken nudity provides brief respite, but largely, this is a criminal squandering of a talented cast. Plus, it's tough to understand why she worked on this directly after Terminator 3: was her agent just awful, or did she make the decision all by herself? Tellingly, T3 was her first film notable enough to get reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, and to date it remains the only one to have had a positive critical consensus. As soon as she signed on for Bloodrayne, it all went to hell.
