15 Best Supporting Characters In MCU Movies So Far
7. Happy Hogan
Happy Hogan may have been around since the very beginning of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it wasn't until Tom Holland's Spider-Man was introduced that the character began to expand from the limited role of what was essentially Tony Stark's lackey.
Iron Man 2 did see Happy play his part in a couple of fight scenes and generally get a lot more screentime to try and develop the character, but he spent the majority of Iron Man 3 in a coma, and for a while that seemed to be all she wrote for Stark Industries' Head of Security.
However, Happy returned in Spider-Man: Homecoming and quickly went on to establish himself as one of Peter's closest allies. Favreau has always been a solid comedic presence, and he brilliantly sells his exasperation with the excitable young superhero before eventually getting won over completely.
Far From Home sees some genuine pathos as both Happy and Peter share similar struggles over Tony's death, but he also manages to mine plenty of laughs from the sheer awkwardness that stems from his burgeoning relationship with Aunt May, something that the upcoming third installment will hopefully expand upon further.
