15 Best Trailers For 2017 Movies

It doesn’t exactly give a lot away in terms of plot but the action-packed, witty one liner filled trailer for Vol. 2 is more than enough to gets fans excited for the next instalment of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. Set to Sweet’s 1975 pop rock classic Fox on the Run, the trailer sees the return of our favourite Guardians – Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana’s Gamora, Dave Bautista’s Drax and Bradley Cooper’s Rocket included – but best of all, we’re introduced to Baby Groot.

Yep, that’s right: the cute little sapling teased during the end credits of the first film is back in full force and looks to be an adorable but very mischievous addition to the group.

There’s also plenty of battle scenes, the introduction of multi-dimensional space monster Abilisk who looks kind of like a giant squid suffering from a bad case of vagina dentata and the potential romance between Gamora and Star-Lord briefly teased during the first film looks like it’ll be explored even more in the sequel.

Notable absences include Star-Lord’s blue-skinned surrogate father figure Yondu Udonta (Michael Rooker) and his bio dad Ego (Kurt Russell), but luckily we don’t have too long to wait until Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits cinemas in Spring.
