The sequel to 2014’s oddly touching but gleefully violent dead dog revenge flick John Wick is finally upon us and fans of our four-legged friends will be happy to know that it looks like no pups were harmed during the making of this movie.

Keanu Reeves returns as the deadpan ex-hitman once again lured back into the game by a shady former associate he’s bound to by blood oath alongside familiar faces from the first film including Ian McShane’s enigmatic Winston and John Leguizamo’s high-end chop shop owner Aurelio. There’s a nice little Matrix reunion going on too with the appearance of Reeves’ trilogy co-star Laurence Fishburne.

Thankfully, the action-packed trailer suggests it’s going to be just as violently fun as its predecessor and Reeves even promises to ‘kill them all’, but only time will tell whether he can beat the first film’s impressive kill count of 77.
