15 Greatest Opening Credit Sequences In Movies

13. Reservoir Dogs

Honestly, any Quentin Tarantino picture could have made this list. But they can't, so the honour has to go to the opening that started it all, spawning a film that began one of the biggest careers in cinema and hundreds upon hundreds of imitators.

Played over George Baker Selection's classic "Little Green Bag", the opening sequence sees the camera pan in slow motion over the various members of the group, letting the audience know who's playing each character and also painting a portrait of an odd and mismatched gang.

What makes the whole thing all the more brilliant is the fact that it follows Reservoir Dogs' famous opening scene, where the guys sit around discussing tips and Madonna, establishing the group as a messy and unprofessional lot who you know right from the get-go are going to get themselves into a lot of trouble.

Since the film, "Little Green Bag" has become a cult classic piece of music, and Reservoir Dogs' opening credit sequence has become the stuff of legend.
