The Original: A young German woman, Kate (Franka Potente), ends up falling asleep in a London Underground tube station and wakes up to find it empty, with a deformed killer hunting her from the sewers below. Despite a great setting and some atmospheric chills, the protagonist is annoying and the villain is more silly than scary. Why It Needs A Remake: The premise is so brilliant that it'd be a shame to just waste it on one mediocre horror film. Any Londoner can relate to the abject terror Kate feels upon waking up in the abandoned tube station, and so with a more interesting villain for one, a remake could absolutely nail it. How Likely Is It?: 3/10. The film came and went without much fanfare, so it's tough to imagine anyone taking an interest in a remake. It's possible another tube-set horror film might show up sometime down the line, though it may be fundamentally different in nature.
