7. Will Smith's Deadshot (Suicide Squad)

Although his children have gone out of their way to make people dislike him, Will Smith still boasts phenomenal star power. Love him or hate him, the Fresh Prince€™s curriculum vitae speaks for itself. Still, Smith has the shadow of a certain stigma cast over him so fans were a little apprehensive when it was revealed that he was cast as Deadshot. Thankfully, the uproar didn€™t come from claims of reverse 'whitewashing€™ the character but was instead due to worry that Will would €˜Jaden Smith€™ Floyd Lawton (i.e. make Deadshot unbearable and full of unwarranted self-righteousness). There's a reason why Smith was ranked as the most bankable star in the world by Forbes in 2014. He's an absolute workhorse whose track records speaks for itself. He's can do funny and action simultaneously (Bad Boys, Men in Black) and tug at your heart strings (The Pursuit of Happyness). Some of the malice directed towards him is mainly due to over saturation. Also, did I mention his kids are the like a punch-yourself-in-the-face-repeatedly type of irritating? Widely regarded as one of the world's greatest assassins and with a near-perfect track record, Deadshot has been a core member of the Suicide Squad since its inception. He's a merciless killer but he is portrayed as an anti-hero more often than not, a man with a code who does not murder for malice but only for money. Deadshot may not be as widely known as other stalwart DC villains but he€™s been blessed with consistent characterization, depth and a pornstache that just won€™t quit. The nicest thing you can say about Deadshot is that he won€™t kill kids, so here€™s hoping that Smith keeps it cool, cold and calculating.
