12. The Hulk Can't Have Sex
The red-headed stepchild of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the canonicity of The Incredible Hulk remains up for debate. Edward Norton was quickly replaced by Mark Ruffalo for the Avengers film (he was apparently a nightmare to work with, demanding creative control), and Bruce Banner's unlikely to get another solo film any time soon.
What went wrong? Well, the uninteresting plot and pedestrian direction by Louis Leterrier probably didn't help. Neither did some bizarre storylines through the course of the film, including Norton's Banner hooking up with Liv Tyler as The Hulk's long-time love interest Betty Ross. Or rather, their lack of hooking up.
In a scene that looks like it's building to some PG-13 heavy petting, Banner's heart rate monitor goes off. Apparently it's not just getting angry that puts him at risk of Hulking out, but also getting horny. Bruce Banner literally can't get his end away without turning into a big green monster. A monster with some serious blue balls, apparently. A bit TMI.
