15 Problems Nobody Wants To Admit About 2015's Biggest Movies

6. Minions May Be Too Much Of A Good Thing

There's little point denying the fact that the Minions are the most entertaining part of the Despicable Me franchise: just like the Ice Age series, which owes so much of its success to lovable squirrel Scrat, Despicable Me is heavily indebted to the pellet-sized, yellow creatures. Would the two movies to date be remotely as entertaining as they are without them? Not a chance. Even so, as promising and hilarious as the standalone Minion movie looks, isn't it possible that it could simply be too much of a good thing? They're absolutely fantastic in small bursts throughout the films, but can they really sustain 90+ minutes on their own? Even with vocal support from the likes of Sandra Bullock, Jon Hamm, Allison Janney, Michael Keaton and Steve Coogan in supporting roles, it could easily go south, as fun as the trailer sells it to be.
