15 Radical Superheroes To Diversify The MCU
8. Amadeus Cho
Yet another teenage super genius, Korean American Amadeus Cho starts off as a sidekick to Bruce Banner's Hulk, amongst others, before eventually becoming a Hulk himself after using nanobots to siphon off a lethal dose of gamma radiation from his hero.
Like She-Hulk before him, Cho revels in the confidence that becoming a Hulk brings out in him. Unlike Jen Walters, Cho is on borrowed time: he doesn't inherit a diluted, once-removed gamma power set, but the whole jolly green nine yards, and repressing what he perceives to be his negative emotions causes the creation of an intelligent Hulk alter ego just as angry as Banner’s Hulk, but far more malevolent.
Depending on Mark Ruffalo’s plans - he said in 2012 that he’d signed a 6 picture deal, and this year will have appeared in all four Avengers movies and Thor: Ragnarok - there may be room for a new, more unpredictable Hulk in the MCU.
But even if Ruffalo is sticking around, there’s still room for Amadeus Cho. The character was around in the comics for ten years before going green, so there’s plenty of scope for a super-smart Korean American hero in a Marvel movie or two.
