15 Things You Somehow Missed In Shaun Of The Dead

8. “Go And Live In The Shed”

Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright added another piece of subtle foreshadowing in Shaun Of The Dead during the scene where, Pete, Shaun’s flatmate, yells at Shaun and Ed for playing loud ‘hip-hop’ music late into the night.

Pete, played by Peter Serafinowicz, grows increasingly tired of Ed’s lazy and messy behaviour and eventually snaps, telling him that if he “wants to live like an animal, he can go and live in the shed”. By the end of the movie, Ed has been infected by the zombies and ends up chained up and living in Shaun’s shed.

Also, at the end of this scene, Ed utters to Shaun that the next time he sees Pete “he’s dead”, and wouldn’t you know it, the next time they see Pete, he has become a zombie.
