15 Truly Terrible Villainous Performances From Awesome Actors

Iron Man is a very good superhero origin story that launched an awesome franchise. It still holds up, but the film does decline in the third act. The reason? This awful villain.

Obadiah Stane is an evil businessman who wants to take over Stark Industries. He goes insane at the end for no clear reason and fights Tony Stark in a bigger Iron Man suit because he wants to take over his business. He lacks menace, depth and nuance, but worst of all he's played by Jeff Bridges.

Jeff Bridges is a terrific actor who can, as shown in films such as The Big Lewbowski and True Grit, be simultaneously dramatically powerful and incredibly entertaining with ease, but here he's neither. He seems bored and rarely changes his voice or facial expression during the film. The 'Tony built this in a cave!' line is a good moment, but that's the only positive this villain has going for him
