7. Forrest Whitaker - Saw Gerrera

Forrest Whitaker is a marvelous actor, which makes his shockingly awful supporting part in Rogue One all the more inexplicable.

While clearly going for a mad, haunted soldier a la Colonel Kurtz from Apocalypse Now, Whitaker gives a ridiculously irritating and silly performance which has no emotion or psychological depth at all and ensured that Saw Gerrera currently stands as one of the worst Star Wars film characters ever.

Meanwhile, what on earth was going on with his voice? Saw Gerrera keeps using an oxygen mask, but maybe the gas he was inhaling was actually helium. That might explain why his voice was so high-pitched and squeaky.

The one good thing that can be said here is that Whitaker isn't in the film for long.
