12. John Boyega - Finn

Last seen barrelling towards the First Order armada with the hope of sacrificing himself to let the Rebels escape, he was saved by Rose, only to pull a confused face after being kissed... and then being reunited with Rey.

Yup, Finn hasn't had the most coherent of plot lines.

Going back to Episode VII we saw seeds of a relationship between him and Rey, though it's definitely far more in the friend zone than what we've seen of Rey and Kylo.

Throw Rose Tico into the mix, add the sheer elation of Finn reuniting with Rey, and you have a recipe for many hearts being broken.

Finn's history as a stormtrooper and child taken to be enlisted in the First Order is loaded with potential world detail to flesh out, too. We've seen tiny hints of this come through when infiltrating bases or mentioning First Order mandates, but letting Finn have a more meaningful purpose overall would go a long way, being the last time he really got to do anything meaningful was fighting Kylo in Episode VII.
