7. Dom Hemingway

Plot: Having been released from prison after serving time for 12 years, Dom Hemingway now looks to collect what he's owed after keeping his mouth shut the entire time. Dom Hemingway features an inspired cast which includes Jude Law, Richard E. Grant, and Demian Bichir and its central draw is Jude Law's extremely colorful performance. In Dom Hemingway, Jude Law plays an oft-profane, dangerous con-man who cannot stop himself from doing bad things. When the film premiered in Toronto last year, and then in the UK, there did not seem to be a set consensus on how people felt about Jude Law's performance. This is the type of movie where the film's lead essentially makes or breaks the film, and it seems critics were mixed on whether it was Law's best-ever performance, or whether or not they thought he was too "shouty." We'll be able to see for ourselves when Dom Hemingway comes out in April. US release date: April 4th
