5. The End Of The Team - Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3

Though James Gunn has plans to expand Marvel's cosmic arm of the MCU, he's already been very clear that whatever comes in Phase 4 probably won't include the original line-up of the Guardians Of The Galaxy. Indeed, he's said that Vol 3 will be the last outing for this iteration of his team, which fans should be particularly worried about.

There's a strong possibility that we'll see a spin-off or two (Rocket & Groot seems assured), but you really shouldn't put it past Gunn to kill off some of his favourites. After all, he's already killed Groot and Yondu for emotional impact and there's no way any of these heroes would simply retire quietly. This is their family, and they would die for it before turning their backs, which - unfortunately - they might be forced to do.

Of course, we may get to see a second Guardians team emerge (especially if the threequel makes similarly impressive money), which is also exciting, but it's the slightly harrowing prospect of seeing how they fall apart that ranks higher.
