17 Movies That Critics And Fans Just Didn't Agree On

11. Dude, Where's My Car?

Dude Where S My Car
Fox

RottenTomatoes Score: 3.6

IMDB Score: 5.5

The Ashton Kutcher and Seann William Scott-starring stoner comedy was largely demolished by critics on release, with a mere 18% approval rating.

Audiences, while not firmly praising the movie, at least gave it a far fairer 5.5 score, a staggering 1.9 ahead of the critical average. IMDB voters tended towards a 6/10 score, and let's face it, with the movie aiming itself squarely at the stoner demographic, their mentally-impaired standards were never going to be sky-high.

It's a fun movie to watch with a beer or a joint, absolutely, though it's easy to see why the presumably clean, sober minds of critics, who probably watched it in a screening room first thing in the morning, weren't as enamoured as those who altered their minds first, grabbed some snacks and some pals, and just had a fun time with all the brainless insanity.
