5. Droid Hieroglyphics - Raiders Of The Lost Ark (1981)

Indiana Jones and Star Wars are well known for playing tit-for-tat with their sly nods and references, and one of the most famous instances of such takes place in Raiders of the Lost Ark. As Indie ventures into the Well of Souls in search of the Ark of the Covenant, hieroglyphic engravings of R2-D2 and C-3PO can be seen on a golden post over his right shoulder That little Raiders Easter egg is pretty well-know, but did you know notice the registration number on Jock's plane right at the beginning of the movie? It reads OB-CPO, a reference, of course, to Obi-Wan Kenobi and C-3PO. Also, the scene in which Indie confronts Rene Belloq and the Nazis in a canyon was filmed on the same exact location used while filming the Tatooine scenes in A New Hope.
