20 Craziest Car Chases In Movie History

16. To Live And Die In L.A.

The car chase movie sub-genre might have hit its peak in the 1970s, but the 80s still witnessed some films with incredible driving sequences as exciting today as they were on their release. William Friedkin's To Live and Die in L. A. is without a doubt one of the best examples from this era. Adapted from the novel of the same name by former US Secret Service agent Geralf Petievich, To Live and Die in L. A. sees Friedkin returning to examining the extent to which the law will go to get its man which he'd previously explored in The French Connection (more on that later). It certainly demonstrates his mastery of tension and excitement, and the car chase through cramped back streets, busy streets and waterways of Los Angeles are top of the game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOK9QW21VPo
