19. Emma Watson Considered Quitting After The Order Of The Phoenix
After filming the fifth film, The Order Of The Phoenix, Emma Watson seriously considered quitting the franchise, but ultimately decided to stay because she couldn't stand the idea of anyone else playing Hermione. While doing press for the final two movies, Watson confessed that she felt trapped by the "horrible" shooting schedule and, when her contract was up for renewal after Phoenix, she was tempted to walk. In addition, Watson said, "I get told what time I can eat, when I have time to go to the bathroom. Every single second of my day is not in my power", and since the Potter films finished, she's talked at length of being relieved that it's done. Still, props to her for hanging on and taking the massive pay-day, because Potter fans the world over would have been crushed if Hermione had been recast.
