It's been more than a decade since Wolf Creek 2 arrived, and though a spin-off TV series was produced in the interim, fans have been clamouring for a threequel ever since the second film came out.

Wolf Creek 3, which will focus on an American family facing off against outback serial killer Mick Taylor (John Jarratt), was originally set to shoot in the early 2020s, but those plans were scuppered by the pandemic.

However, back in August franchise creator Greg McClean confirmed that the third film was back on, and has been reconceived as a reboot entitled Wolf Creek: Legacy, albeit with John Jarrett reprising his villain role.

Shooting is set to begin in Q1 2025, so a 2026 release seems bang on the money.
