17. Love Camp 7 (1968)

Two undercover British female soldiers go into a Nazi camp to get some information from a female prisoner, and to possibly rescue her. The German female inmates are treated like prostitutes and subject to the most vile degradations. The undercover women learn that their contact is in solitary confinement and one of them decides to get into trouble too to infiltrate solitary. She is stripped and hung up by her wrists. An escape plan that the women formulate leads to violence and death. Love Camp 7 has been continually denied a UK certificate. A classic film in that it helped to birth the Nasty Nazi subgenre and also the WIP (women in prison) subgenre, Love Camp 7 nonetheless suffers from poor direction and extremely dodgy acting. Especially from producer/writer Bob Cresse as a Nazi - this guy gets far too absorbed in his role. Unhealthy. Also banned in New Zealand, there's not much fun to be had from the film - its cheesiness is of the blue mouldy, stinking manner. Controversial because how can a 'Love Camp' be a part of Nazism? That's an oxymoron and a half.
