20 Most Cringe-Worthy One-Liners In Movie History

11. "It's Fantastic" - Fantastic Four

Josh Trank's disastrous Fantastic Four reboot didn't try hard enough in most areas, but it was most definitely trying too hard in its closing gag, which saw the gang coming up with the name for their superhero outfit.

The hilariously on-the-nose scene sees Reed Richards telling Ben Grimm aka The Thing, "We've come a long way since the garage", to which Thing replies, "It's fantastic, isn't it?"

Reed asks him to say it again, which he does, inspiring Reed to declare that he's cracked the name of the group, as we cut to the credits.

It probably didn't help that Avengers: Age of Ultron pulled a similar smash cut final gag just a few months earlier, but even so, this was so laughably, witlessly desperate that it actually ended the movie on a weirdly desperate note.
