When John Wick made its unassuming way into cinemas back in 2014, who could've ever expected that it would reinvigorate Keanu Reeves' career as an action icon?

John Wick: Chapter Two was an impressive improvement over the modest original, upping the scale, expanding the mythology and not merely repeating the original's premise, while concluding with a killer cliffhanger that has made the wait for Chapter Three nothing short of agonising.

With director Chad Stahelski and writer Derek Kolstad returning for a threequel that will see Reeves' titular assassin on the run from minute one, this could be a rare second sequel that truly lives up to and even exceeds its predecessors.
