20 Netflix Movies For The Rest Of 2022 You Need To Know About
9. Mr. Harrigan's Phone
Stephen King adaptations have fared relatively well on Netflix so far, and next up the streamer is bringing King's 2020 short story Mr. Harrigan's Phone - from his novella collection If It Bleeds - to the small screen.
The story follows Craig (Jaeden Martell), a teenager who does odd jobs for the elderly Mr. Harrigan (Donald Sutherland), and when Harrigan dies, Craig takes custody of his phone. Shortly thereafter, Craig sends a message to Harrigan and is surprised to get one back.
It's a deliciously enticing setup that's pure, uncut Stephen King, and with the relatively reliable John Lee Hancock (The Founder, The Little Things) serving as writer-director, it'll hopefully make the suspenseful most of the acclaimed source material.
Mr. Harrigan's Phone releases later this year.
