Predicted Critical Consensus: "If not quite matching the brilliance of its beloved predecessors, Toy Story 4 is a rarest of third sequels that really works."

Though it's easy to sniff at Pixar milking the illustrious Toy Story franchise for a sequel few were asking for, it's also highly unlikely that Toy Story 4 is anything less than a beautifully animated, charming and entertaining movie.

Tom Hanks and Tim Allen have already promised it to be the most emotional entry into the franchise - and that's sure saying something - while the first teaser trailer hints at an intriguing and ambitious direction for the series.

As long as it doesn't undo Toy Story 3's brilliant ending, there's little chance this turns out to be another Cars 2, or even a Monsters University. Don't expect an average score on par with the original trilogy, but it'll still score its fair share of four-star reviews.
