11. He Saved Toy Story

Believe it or not, the script for Toy Story wasn€™t fully working until Whedon €“ amongst other writers -was invited to get involved. Whedon was brought in to help develop the script, which he found had great structuring but lacked the cohesiveness it needed to succeed. Not only did Whedon introduce the character of Rex into the script, according to this account by Craig L. Good, one of Pixar€™s Camera artists, he€™s pretty much responsible for single-handedly turning a probable flop into the iconic piece of American cinema we now call Toy Story.
