10. Finding Nemo

We all know that Pixar like to hide Easter eggs in their movies, with a healthy spread of character cameos, referential nods and in-jokes throughout all of the movies, including the just released Monsters University. And among the nods and winks in Finding Nemo is an in-credits cameo from one of the animation house's most enduring characters €“ one-eyed cynic Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc, and now the prequel.

Getting around the fact that the film was set almost entirely under water, the Pixar team fitted Mike with a scuba suit for his fan-friendly appearance, and seemingly confirmed that the Pixar universe is all linked (aside from Cars, as that clearly wouldn't make any sense.)

9. Raising Arizona

"Filmed on location in Valley of the Sun, Arizona, a great place to raise your kids." Someone in the marketing department of Arizona was probably extremely happy with this one.
