20 Upcoming Action Movies That Could Beat Mad Max: Fury Road

4. Justice League: Part One

Release Date: November 17, 2017 Why It Could Beat Fury Road: Sure, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice could've made this list, but isn't it really ultimately just a stop-gap to the Justice League saga a few years down the line? To see Batman, Superman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, The Flash and Green Lantern all teaming up to take down (probably) Lex Luthor and his newest alien threat is wish fulfillment on an unfathomable scale, and though director Zack Snyder lives and dies by the scripts he's working form, there's little doubt that he'll make the team look like a million bucks (or rather, $200 million). How Likely Is It?: 8/10. True story: many moons ago, George Miller was going to direct a Justice League movie. That said, Snyder proved in Man of Steel that he has a knack for delivering sustained carnage (controversial though the movie's final act was in particular), so Justice League Part One's inevitable super-brawl against the Big Bad will surely be one for the ages short of a major creative screw-up. Justice League will surely boast enough character and visual grandeur to compete with Miller's opus, but could it also end up too cluttered, with too much action going on at once? And the inevitable cliffhanger ending could prove divisive as well.
