2. Iron Man 3

I'll admit that, for me, the last two were ridiculously close. I had a tough time deciding and after much shuffling (and a new trailer) I've made up my mind. This movie in itself could almost tie up with the next choice for having the most potential to blow minds. After the rather average Iron Man 2, this looks to be a welcome redemption for one of Marvel's most popular franchises. Firstly, we have Shane Black in the director's chair. If you haven't seen Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, drop everything and go watch it. Now! Okay, you're back? Good. Now if Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is any indicator of what kind of fun this film could bewellshut up and take my money! The promise of Robert Downey Jr. reuniting with old friend Shane Black to play one of his most entertaining protagonists is enough to have me salivating. Then, of course, we have the much anticipated Mandarin. The Mandarin is Tony's most feared villain. Oscar-winning chameleon Ben Kingsley may be an odd choice for such a hefty antagonistic role. But I'm sure he will bring a threatening demeanour to the part that we will all be impressed by. Let's just hope they tone down that wacky voice a little! I've been on the fence about this one for a while. Iron Man was thoroughly entertaining but Iron Man 2 was a step down. The ridiculous stream of news about this film has made me a little nervous about the potential of a Spider-Man 3 situation occurring. So far we have villains, Mandarin, Aldrich Killian & Firepower. As well as the FORTY new suits that Iron Man will be piloting (presumably by either auto-pilot or some sort of synced mental control). The extremis story-line, Rhodey's new Iron Patriot suit and Pepper Potts getting suited up at one point. There's a lot to be nervous about really. But on the other hand, if they pull it offits going to transcend epic! Expected rating: 9/10 Iron Man 3 comes out May 3rd 2013
