10. Desert Warrior
Pretty much the only reason people didn't predict that Desert Warrior would be a massive flop is because they'd never heard of it.
This Saudi-funded, Anthony Mackie-led historical action flick started shooting all the way back in September 2021 before finally releasing this past April.
The film struggled to find a distributor for over two years after shooting wrapped, and to make matters worse director Rupert Wyatt briefly quit during the editing process due to "creative differences," before later being coaxed to return.
With an outrageous $150 million budget, making it the most expensive Saudi movie of all time, it was thunderously clear that the film didn't stand a hope in hell of turning a profit, especially with how listlessly it was dumped in cinemas by U.S. distributor Vertical.
And that's to say nothing of the thoroughly terrible reviews.
Ultimately Desert Warrior ended its run at a pathetic $733,940 globally, all while posting one of the worst domestic openings in history for a major movie.
