13. Priscilla - Claymore

Priscilla sounds precious, like anyone named that couldn’t be capable of inflicting actual pain, but she is. She really, really is.

At least the One-Horned Monster who goes by that name in Claymore really is. Once a prodigious Claymore herself, Priscilla pushed her Yoma powers too far and transformed into what we’re told is the most powerful Awakened Being to have existed.

And it really shows. Once a sweet, blond-haired babe, Priscilla mutates into what can only be described as a horned, gargoyle-angel-type creature you might see as a statue in those shops that sell incense and tarot cards.

What’s makes Priscilla such a fine villain, though, is her absent-mindedness in possession of such power. She’s all-powerful and has a bloodthirst, yet this seems almost masked a lot of the time by her childlike demeanour.

Claymore is also built for villains like this in that it’s gory and doesn’t hold back on the violence, giving this angelic being all the more scope to shock her audience.
